Eriko Makimura and Keiko Gomi played a fantastic concert at Den Collinske Gaard last night! It was a real eye opener for me, and I especially appreciated their rendition of Die Roboter by Kraftwerk..

Eriko is also curating a concert with The Messer Quartet tonight, and I’d definitely advice you to go check it out..

Alright, I know it’s been a while, but the good news is that I’m back with a post that’ll knock your socks off! Jonas told me someone had showed him a young, cool, danish artist, he really liked, and that he had a feeling I might enjoy her work too.. He was right!

Maria Rubinke is a 24-year-old ceramic artist, who’s work is morbid, fun, cool and beautiful..! I have to have to own one of them! She hasn’t got a portfolio online yet, but says it will be soon - looking forward to it!

Keep up the amazing work, Maria!

I had forgotten all about this beautiful series by photographer Jack Radcliffe, until I stumbled upon a copy of it, in one of my folders for inspiration.

When my daughter Alison was born, in the tradition of a new parent, I began to photograph her, initially in a separate and private body of work. However, in the process of documenting Alison’s growth, I developed a passionate interest in human relationships and capturing intimate moments in the lives of family and friends. This affected my photography in a profound way. Rather than the isolated subjects of my earlier work, I became interested in the strength of relationships, oftentimes using personal environments to amplify those conditions.

I just watched The Invention of Dr. Nakamats on TV, and had to let you all know about it..

Dr. Yoshiro Nakamatsu is the 80-year old, japanese inventor of floppy disks, karaoke machines and tons of other cool stuff.. The film shows him meticulously planning his birthday party, showing off a few of his inventions, and reflecting on life and family.

The documentary is funny, interesting and extremely aesthetic!

I’m going to try something new, and see how it goes.. I’ll try to sum up my latest bookmarks from del.icio.us every week or so - might be interesting, might not..

It hasn’t exactly been my busiest week on del.icio.us, so today’s post won’t be too long (some weeks I might have bookmarked 30 sites, other weeks it’ll only be a few), but I think you might enjoy it anyway..

I really like Cowches [pictured above] - they’d make a great gift for any kid, and every dollar you pay goes directly to feeding cows saved from slaughter houses.. Nice lady, nice project..

Table tennis is fun, and a great way to stimulate your mind.. There has been made tons of solutions for you to stick a net on any table, but the Artengo Rollnet seems cooler than most.. The system for attaching it seems well thought out, and it looks better than most of the others I’ve seen.. Oh, and they’ve made a cool video to promote it too..

The last bookmark today is Obey: Supply & Demand, The Art of Shepard Fairey — 20th Anniversary Edition, which contains 400 pages of cool art, and includes a few limited edition silkscreen prints..

Go buy all this stuff!

A few of the people responsible for Jaiku having been such a cool place to hang out (Kim Bach is not it the photo, but actually deserves a special mention, as he was the one who first introduced me to the wonderful world of microblogging..)

The reason I’m posting this today, is that this morning I’ve finally given up on Jaiku.. Until today I’ve always kept it open in the first tab of my browser, but after Google has fucked us all over, and Twitter has become somewhat useful (cool people has started using it and some proper clients have been built), there’s not much point in reloading the same old page over and over.. I might still check in every once in a while, but you shouldn’t count on me reading/posting anything..
